Homologous intrauterine Insemination (Injection of the partners sperms directly into the uterus)

If insemination within the body during a natural cycle is intended, pregnancy can be facilitated by a hormone based support of the ovaries (through medication) and follicle monitoring with ultra sound. The partners sperm, specifically processed in our lab, will be inserted during ovulation, by use of a thin catheter, in the uterus. This procedure is called homologous intrauterine insemination. This is a gentle reinforcement of a naturally induced pregnancy. This insemination technique is preferably used in cases where male fertility is slightly reduced.
